The Riverfront Community Development Bond Promotes Sustainable Development along Maine's Rivers

On November 6th, 2007, Maine voters approved a $35.5 million bond request that includes funds for riverfront community development, land conservation, Maine’s State Parks and Historic sites,  working waterfront preservation, and agriculture. The

Riverfront Community Development Program will provide $5,000,000, with funds to be used for investments in competitive river-based community and economic revitalization projects that will leverage $10,000,000 in other funds. The bond concept has been well received along the Penobscot River by towns and legislators alike.  Learn more from the Riverfront Community Development Bond Fact Sheet.

For more information on the Riverfront Community Development Bond, please contact John Burrows at (207) 725-2833 or e-mail asfjb@blazenetme.net.
